Answers to your most common notarization questions.

FAQ

do you have a question?

The mobile notarization process is simple (see below), but you might still have questions.

To help you, I’ve shared a list of answers to the most common questions notaries are asked.

Have another question that wasn’t covered? Let me know, and I’ll be happy to answer it.

It’s quick and easy to book a notarization with me. Just choose a notarization type on my scheduling calendar, and then select a date and time that works for you. Use this link to view my booking calendar.

You will need the original document(s) to be notarized and a non-expired official photo identification for each signer.

All signers must present official, non-expired, government-issued IDs. You can use a driver’s license, state ID card, passport, military ID, or green card picture ID. Contact me if you don’t have the necessary identification.

Most single signer notarizations take 15 minutes or less. If you have multiple documents to notarize or a more complex notarization situation, please add a note when you book your appointment and plan to allow extra time.

As a mobile notary, I will meet you anywhere within my service area. See my Services & Fees page for details on my service area and travel fees.

Acknowledgments and Jurats are the most common notarizations. You can read descriptions of both on my Services & Fees page. If you’re still not sure which type is right for you, contact me and I will help.

California notaries are not currently authorized to perform remote/online notarizations. As a mobile notary, I offer the next best thing by coming directly to you.

My notarization costs including travel fees are listed on my Services & Fees page.

Pay for your single document notarization and travel fees by credit card when scheduling. Travel fees are listed on my Services & Fees page. If you need more than one notarization, I’ll coordinate the additional payment with you after booking.
